A World Without A Roof: Stories of Pastoralism from India is a graphic novel-style learning book by the Centre for Pastoralism (CfP), a research initiative based in India that works in close partnership with civil society groups, academics, government, and private businesses on collaborative programs to research and engage with pastoralist communities and provide them a platform to educate society on their traditional knowledge.

The book is a guide on the practice of pastoralism in India, the various regions and animals that each community inhabits, and a collection of four stories heavily directed by the perspectives of the different pastoral communities. A World Without A Roof provides a window into the lives of these people through the challenges they experience (i.e. inter-generational conflict, common property issues, etc.) as well as the potential practices and cultural traditions alongside animals and nature that provide an alternative to urban life.
