I started my University life with History as my major. For my graduation, I have done my paper about the Japanese Invasion to Myanmar (1939-1945) in a group and I graduated from the University of Yangon in 2017. As my first experience of research, I wrote about the Sand Pagoda festival In Myanmar and read in the Forum on Kaleidoscopic Myanmar at the SEAMEO Chat, Yangon. In the very first of my academic year, I thought History is just about the past. Later, I came to realize that History is about the past, present and future. Additionally, I grasped the point that History can evolve around us when I attended the lecture of Tr. Tharaphi Than.
As my first step on HaB, I have done a small project about Myanmar Thanakha in group. Now I am attending my Master degree at the same University. For my Master thesis I am going to write about Myanmar Rice which will portray the rice culture of Myanmar.
Encouraged by my Head Professor, Dr. Mo Mo Thant, I am getting a chance to join the coming summer school program by Humanity Across Border and ICAS 11 in Leiden. I’m sure I will obtain more experiences for writing my thesis.
